CBR Service Champions Program is an industry led initiative partnering with VisitCanberra and Austrade to produce Canberra’s first online training course to support local businesses to deliver great customer service to Canberra visitors.
The course comprises of five modules that can be completed online at your own pace. The modules are between 20-40 minutes that you can do one at a time.
Being online and optimised for mobile devices, this course provides staff and their managers the ability to access learning at the time they best learn and in an environment that suits them.
VisitCanberra are currently working on a new project initiative in collaboration with the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) to assist tourism organisations become China Ready.
The objective of the project is to connect Mandarin speaking hospitality and tourism students from CIT with organisations who have relevant work experience and employment opportunities/skills gaps to work with Chinese visitors.
This could be for example translation at trade shows or with collateral, customer service, hosting familiarisations, volunteer work, internships, or regular part time and full time employment.

The National Harvest Labour Information Service (NHLIS) is a no cost service provided by MADEC Australia, to assist agriculture and horticulture businesses find seasonal labour.
The service provides a toll free 1800 number for workers to ring and trained consultants take calls to find workers that meet your criteria.
The NHLIS provides comprehensive, up-to-date information about harvest work vacancies on the Harvest Trail website.
