ACTION buses today start a daily route to and from Canberra Airport’s passenger terminal.
The service is an extension to the bus number 11 route which services Brindabella Business Park and Fairbairn, taking people two and from the city centre.
The buses will run about every half hour on weekdays and hourly on weekends. Route 11A will connect Civic with Canberra Airport via Russell Offices and return.
Fares will be $4.80 for a single adult trip with savings for those using a MyWay card.
Canberra Airport Managing Director Stephen Byron said the introduction of the ACTION route increases the transport offering for airport passengers in addition to taxi services and Uber ride sharing.
