Congratulations to BentSpoke Brewing Co for their recent gold and silver medals at the International Brewing Awards 2017 for two of their canned brews.
Their Barley Griffin Pale Ale won gold and their Crankshaft IPA silver in two of the International Smallpack Ale Class categories.
The awards – first run in 1888 – recognise beer that is an ‘outstanding commercial example of its style’ and are voted for by fellow professional brewers.
BentSpoke co-owner and head brewer Richard Watkins was thrilled by the result.
“The International Brewing Awards are one of the longest running and biggest beer awards in the world,” Watkins said.
“With over 1000 beers in the competition we are ecstatic to see our beers do so well.
“It is an honour to win medals at these awards and a real credit to whole team here at BentSpoke for their commitment to quality.”
BentSpoke Brewing Co, located in the popular Braddon eating district, offers 18 types of beer and cider.
Bentspoke Brewing Co is one of the local brewers appearing at this weekend’s Canberra Craft Beer and Cider Festival at Mercure Canberra.
