Last Saturday’s inaugural Canberra and Region Visitors Centre Open Day at Regatta Point has been deemed a great success.
More than 2500 people attended the family-friendly event, taking advantage of the pop-up stalls, local produce tastings and free activities from some of Canberra’s favourite attractions.
The event aimed to raise awareness of the Visitors Centre among locals and bring to life Canberra’s ‘one good thing after another’ messaging.
Enterprise Canberra Executive Director Ian Hill thanked the inaugural event’s participants.
“Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our industry partners,” Mr Hill said.
“We look forward to a bigger and better open day at the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre in the near future.”
The VisitCanberra team is now working to schedule another open day later in 2017.
