Produced in Canberra, Salt Bridge, a romantic drama musical shot in the Hindi language (English subtitles), is set to be released in five Australian cities on Thursday 27 July. Salt Bridge is Australia’s first Hindi film, which has already received wide publicity in Australian and international media.
The film showcases various locations across the Canberra region including Tidbinbilla, Black Mountain Peninsula, the National Arboretum Canberra, Lake Burley Griffin and Murrumbateman.
Salt Bridge is story of a man who leaves India to live in a small town in Australia looking for a better future. He befriends an Australian woman and their friendship stirs up the migrant community in the little town of Salt Bridge.
The film features Bollywood actors Rajeev Khandelwal and Usha Jadhav, and New Zealand-Australia based Logie and AACTA Award winner Chelsie Preston Crayford in the lead roles.
Salt Bridge is expected to have a follow up release in New Zealand, Fiji and India.
