CATEGORIES Events, General,

The second annual Canberra Writers Festival will take place from Friday 25 August – Sunday 27 August, showcasing local, national and international writers in venues around the nation’s capital.

Held over three days, the Festival takes place in an array of venues across the city and provides audiences with the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities from workshops, panel sessions, keynote addresses to intimate events such as literary lunches and dinners.

The Festival follows on from the success of the inaugural Canberra Writers Festival in 2016, which attracted more than 5,000 guests primarily from the Canberra Region, Sydney and Melbourne.

There will be an array of special events  in the lead up to the festival including, Prelude Event: Questacon Presents Dava Sobel; Opening Night Dinner with chef Matthew Evans as well as a number of Keynote Events taking place each night of the Festival.  Tickets are on sale, with discounts available for group bookings.

The full festival program will be released in the coming weeks.

For more information, visit the Canberra Writers Festival website, or contact Victoria Cotter, Festival Director.
