Floriade, Australia’s premier celebration of Spring, opens this weekend at Commonwealth Park with a special Twilight Concert.
Visitors can get a ‘first look’ at Floriade tomorrow evening (Friday 15 September) at the inaugural Floriade Twilight Concert, presented by Singapore Airlines. The concert will be fronted by the Ziggy Band, a David Bowie Tribute act, and supported by the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. Tickets to the Twilight Concert can be purchased via Ticketek.
Each year, more than one million blooms combine to create a stunning backdrop to a month-long festival filled with music, cultural celebrations, horticultural workshops, artistic displays, entertainment and recreational activities. To celebrate its 30th birthday, the flowerbeds will showcase some of the most popular designs from the past 29 events.
Extended opening hours of 10am – 7pm allows visitors to take full advantage of the flowerbeds and the impressive program of events and activities, and twilight entertainment
Floriade runs from Saturday 16 September – Sunday 15 October 2017.
