Jamala Wildlife Lodge was awarded “Best Deluxe Accommodation” at the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) 2017 National Awards for Excellence.
Nearly 500 industry leaders, hoteliers, special guests and parliamentarians attended the gala awards on Monday 18 September at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast to celebrate Australia’s vibrant hotel and hospitality sector.
Richard and Maureen Tindale, owners of Jamala Wildlife Lodge, are proud of Jamala being named Australia’s top Deluxe Accommodation property by industry peers.
“To beat such highly credentialed icons including the world-renowned Sydney Park Hyatt Hotel, and luxury lodges like the Emirates One&Only at Wolgan Valley and Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania is a great reflection on the incredible experience we offer our guests and on the dedication and commitment of all Jamala and zoo staff.’ Mr Tindale said.
Other ACT winners include Casey Jones Gastropub, awarded Best Bistro – Regional; and Damian Brabender from OTIS Dining Hall Canberra who was awarded the prestigious Chef of the Year title. This is the second consecutive year a Canberra chef has won this category.
VisitCanberra congratulates the ACT winners and all finalists at the AHA 2017 National Awards for Excellence.
