A new family owned tour business has recently launched pedal kayak tours on Lake Burley Griffin and electric bike tours around Lake Burley Griffin and up to the National Arboretum Canberra.
The new business will operate under the name Canberra Urban Adventures and is part of a network of locally owned day tour operators in 161 cities across 95 countries.
After decades spent enjoying cycle and kayak trips in and around Canberra, the operators of the new business, Graham Tupper and Deb Melaluca, aim to help everyone enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of Australia’s bush capital.
“Canberra has some of the best cycling paths in the world around a gorgeous central lake. The electric bikes assist people of all ages and abilities to cope with the hills and just enjoy the ride. It is all fun and no sweat,” Mr Tupper said.
“The pedal kayaks open up a little kayaking adventure on the lake to everyone, especially families and first time kayakers,” he said.
Canberra Urban Adventures are currently operating one-hour Floriade pedal kayak tours until Sunday 15 October 2017, with their regular season pedal kayak tours commencing Wednesday 11 October 2017.
