  • Big Stars Hit the Stage with CSO’s Big Band Matinee Concert
POSTED October 11, 2017
CATEGORIES Events, General,

The Canberra Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will be hitting the stage with Australia’s leading lady Rhonda Burchmore as part of the spectacular one-off concert ‘Canberra Weekly Matinee Magic, VEGAS!’ at Llewellyn Hall on Saturday 14 October 2017, 2pm.

This toe-tapping Saturday afternoon performance, featuring Rhonda Burchmore along with charismatic crooner Andy Seymore, will take audiences back to the 1950s when swing was king, and big bands were everything. Audiences can expect to hear the likes of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Marilyn Monroe to name a few.

The matinee concert will be something unique and unlike CSO’s usual performances; more trumpets, more trombones, and a huge saxophone section. The matinee will also feature up-and-coming conducting talent Luke Spicer.
