POSTED October 20, 2017
CATEGORIES Industry, International,

Last week, VisitCanberra and Roundhouse Hotels attended Tourism Australia’s inaugural Corroboree West 2017 event on the Gold Coast. It was a 3-day training workshop for 300 qualified Aussie Specialist agents from the UK, Europe, and the Americas. The qualified Aussie Specialists are front-line travel sellers from retail agencies and wholesale who actively sell Australia as a preferred long-haul destination to travellers.

Corroboree West provided VisitCanberra with the opportunity to train those qualified Aussie Specialists on our destination and strengthen their specific product knowledge.

Immediately following the event, VisitCanberra hosted 10 agents from the UK, France and Italy on a familiarisation visit. The visit enabled agents to experience our tourism products first-hand, enhancing their ability to promote and sell the destination. Thank you to industry for your support of the famil program.

Events like Corroboree West provide a forum for VisitCanberra and industry partners to meet and train agents onshore. If you would like further information about our trade program or are an export-ready product and would like to take part in VisitCanberra’s famils program, please contact tourism.trade@act.gov.au
