The Canberra and Region Visitor Centre (CRVC) hosted 45 front of house employees from some of Canberra’s leading hotels and attractions on an industry famil this week.
The famil program aims to increase product knowledge of frontline staff who interact with visitors to Canberra and the Region.
The half-day itinerary included a visit to the new open-range extension at the National Zoo and Aquarium, a one-hour Lake Burley Griffin cruise on the MV Southern Cross, a tour of the Peter Dombrovskis exhibition and Treasures Gallery at the National Library of Australia, before concluding the famil with a visit to the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre.
The Canberra and Region Visitor Centre would like to thank the National Zoo and Aquarium, the National Library of Australia and the Canberra Southern Cross Club for their support of the industry famil program.
Attractions or products interested in featuring in the industry famil program are encouraged to contact Robert Smethills, Assistant Manager, Visitor Services.
