Canberra brewed beer ranks third in national craft beer poll

Canberra’s emerging reputation as a producer of award-winning craft beer has been recognised in the GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers poll.

Tens of thousands of Australians voted for their favourite craft beers, which was announced in a countdown on Saturday 27 January.

BentSpoke Brewing Co.’s Crankshaft was crowned third place winner, while Capital Brewing Co. and Pact Beer Co. also featuring prominently on the list.

Canberra brewed beers took out seven places in the hottest 100 including:

Crankshaft, BentSpoke Brewing Co. – 3^rd
Sprocket, Bentspoke Brewing Co. – 24^th
Coast Ale, Capital Brewing Co. –  25^th
Barley Griffin, Bentspoke Brewing Co. – 27^th
Trail Pale Ale, Capital Brewing Co. – 28^th
Mount Tennent, Pact Beer Co. –  50^th
Evil Eye, Capital Brewing Co. – 68^th
