On Saturday 25 August, 2018 the University of Canberra (UC) will be holding their annual Open Day, an event attended by roughly 6,000 prospective university students and their parents every year.
The overall purpose of Open Day 2018 is to position UC and Canberra as a vibrant destination to live, study and work.
Roughly half of all students who currently attend the University of Canberra are from out-of-state, one third of which are from rural and regional New South Wales.
This year UC aims to increase the average attendance of more than 6,000 students on the day, by implementing a range of new initiatives, events and by encouraging interstate and regional students to ‘Make a Weekend of UC Open Day’ and to ‘Experience Canberra’.
To help showcase the appeal of Canberra as a university city of choice, UC would like to encourage the Canberra Region tourism industry to be involved and connect with students and their visiting friends and relatives in the day through on site activations or exhibiting with a stand.
