  • CBR Cycle Tourism Strategy announced
POSTED June 13, 2018
CATEGORIES General,

Making the Canberra region Australia’s cycling destination of choice is the goal of the CBR Cycle Tourism Strategy

The Strategy provides a 10 year roadmap for how government, private sector and the cycling community sector can work together to place Canberra firmly on the cycle tourism map.

The Strategy covers all aspects of tourism cycling – from urban cycle ways and road cycling, through to off-road cycling and bike paths and from novice to experienced cyclists. It builds on our active travel network promoting a healthy lifestyle for our vibrant city.

VisitCanberra is also investing in a content partnership with CycleLifeHQ to develop a dedicated CBR Cycle Guide to promote cycle tourism to domestic and international visitors.

The Strategy and supporting action plan can be found here.

The Strategy was co-funded through the destination visitor survey program managed by Tourism Research Australia and The ACT Government.
