A new nature-based tour is set to launch in July and Canberra Urban Adventures are offering familiarisation (famil) trips to the Canberra tourism industry pre-launch.
Famils are available for hotel concierge staff from 19 June to July 5. Famil trips can be organised most week days for hotel pick up at 11am returning by 3.30pm or earlier if required.
Tour details:

- Meet koalas, wallabies, potoroos (mini kangaroos) and go spotting for platypus and other wildlife on a guided nature walk;
- Try the optional 5km electric bike ‘ride with the roos’ surrounded by the mountain scenery-bike instruction and helmets provided;
- Learn about the significance of the area to Aboriginal people; and
- Visit the NASA deep space communication centre – searching for life in the solar system.
