Bar Rochford’s chef Louis Couttoupes has been nominated for Best New Talent in the 2019 Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Awards.
Louis is one of three finalists in the category, up against chefs from restaurants in the Adelaide Hills and Tasmania. His food has been described as ‘scruffy’ in a good way, with his menu centred around share plates using seasonal Canberra region produce.
Bar Rochford is no stranger to awards, holding the title of Australia’s Best Bar in the 2018 Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Awards.
The award winner will be announced on 22 August.
