VisitCanberra will attend Tourism Australia’s upcoming India Travel Mission (ITM) and Corroboree Asia events.
ITM will take place in Jaipur, India, from 20 – 23 August. The event provides the opportunity to establish and maintain relationships with key wholesalers from India through a schedule of business-to-business appointments. The appointments will enable VisitCanberra to increase destination awareness amongst key trade partners and improve their ability to package and sell Canberra to their clients. India remains an important market for Canberra with the latest International Visitor Survey showing 60% growth in arrivals for the year ending March 2018.
Corroboree Asia will take place on the Gold Coast 26 – 31 August. This event brings together more than 300 qualified Aussie Specialist retail travel agents from markets across Asia, including China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, and Korea. VisitCanberra will have the opportunity to train all 300 agents on Canberra and the Region to improve their capacity to recommend and sell the destination.
Following the event, VisitCanberra will host 15 retail travel agents from China on a famil showcasing Canberra and the coastal region.
