Tickets are on sale tooday for a double-header Big Bash League cricket clash at Manuka Oval on 21 December 2018.

Sydney Thunder will take on the Melbourne Stars in Canberra in the KFC Big Bash League season opener at 7.15pm preceded by Sydney Thunder and the Hobart Hurricanes playing in the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League (1.50pm).

The announcement comes ahead of this Friday’s T20 women’s cricket season opener between Australia and New Zealand at Manuka Oval, part of the Commonwealth Bank Women’s Series.

Canberrans are in for an exciting summer festival of cricket with the PMs X1 playing South Africa on 31 October followed by Manuka Oval’s maiden Test Match when Australia take on Sri Lanka from 1 to 5 February.

The ACT Government is committed to bringing top quality sports fixtures to Canberra. The Big Bash League games will not only entertain local cricket fans but will drive visitors from interstate to inject money into the ACT economy through our hospitality, retail and accommodation industry.

Tickets go on sale on 4 October through Ticketek.
