  • CRVC welcomes new UC international students
POSTED February 12, 2019
CATEGORIES International,

The team at the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre (CRVC) welcomed the latest intake of international students at the University of Canberra’s (UC) international student orientation day.

The orientation day is designed to assist international students who are new to Canberra to meet to local businesses and support services.  As part of the orientation day, CRVC staff gave a short presentation highlighting attractions, tours and events in Canberra to inspire the new students to explore their new home city.

New students received information bags containing the Canberra Visitors Guide 2019, Summer Events Guide and a tear-off attraction map. CRVC staff ran an activation on the day to encourage students to take ‘selfies’ to win a selection of prizes, including free bike hire from the CRVC.

The event was well received by more than 200 international students.
