  • Five local winners at 2018 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards

The Canberra Region brought home five awards from the 2018 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards held in Tasmania including one gold, two silver and two bronze awards.

Southern Highlands NSW won Gold for its Pie Time campaign (Destination Marketing) while National Gallery of Australia (Major Tourist Attraction) and Canberra and Region Visitors Centre (Visitor Information Services) both won Silver.

Picking up Bronze awards were Jamala Wildlife Lodge (Unique Accommodation) and Leumeah Lodge (Standard Accommodation). Congratulations to all the finalists. It was also announced on the night that Canberra will host the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards in 2020. What a great incentive to enter the 2019 Canberra Region Tourism Awards.
