  • Learn more about the Export Market Development Grants
POSTED April 11, 2019
CATEGORIES Applications, Events,

ATEC has long advocated for an increase to the pool of funds available within the scheme and the Federal government recently announced that it had committed an additional $60m over three years to the program – welcome news for small tourism operators keen to expand their international footprint.

The Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) scheme is a key Australian Government financial assistance program for aspiring and current exporters. Administered by Austrade, the scheme supports a wide range of industries.

The EMDG scheme:

  • encourages small- and medium-sized Australian businesses to develop export markets
  • reimburses up to 50% of eligible export promotion expenses above $5,000 provided that the total expenses are at least $15,000
  • provides up to eight grants to each eligible applicant.

ATEC will host Dom Bilbie, Assistant General Manager, Client Programs at Austrade as he discusses the increase to the EDMG.

When: Thursday 30 May
Where: Alastair Swayn Theatre, Brindabella Conference Centre – 33-35 Brindabella Circuit, Majura (Canberra Airport Precinct)
Time: 3.00pm-4.30pm followed by networking drinks supported by Pialligo Estate
Cost: ATEC members are free. Non-members $20 pp (ex gst)
RSVP by 22 May
