VisitCanberra’s social media channels continue to grow, with Facebook fans reaching over a quarter of a million. VisitCanberra’s Instagram has reached 55,300+ followers and Twitter has 24,200+ followers.

VisitCanberra’s social channels feature a range of unique Canberra experiences from the perspective of the visitor, utilising user-generated content to maintain authenticity and encourage visitors to share their experiences online.

In March, top ranking content included user-generated content from the Enlighten Illuminations, the Canberra Balloon Spectacular and a sighting of a platypus at Tidbinbilla Nature Park. Use #VisitCanberra on your post for a chance to be featured in upcoming posts. Find more tips and tricks for how you can be featured on VisitCanberra’s channel here.

The Enlighten Festival’s channels continue to go from strength to strength, increasing to 27,500 followers on Facebook and 5,470 followers on Instagram. Enlighten’s Facebook achieved a reach of over 1.2M during the event campaign period, with users particularly interested in our fan photo albums and Beagle Maximus.

Similarly, Instagram had great user engagement and growth during the festival period with the special balloon shape, Beagle Maximus, gaining the highest reach and likes.
