The National Portrait Gallery reopens to the public on Saturday 14 September.
Closed for four months of rectification work, staff who were temporarily based at Old Parliament House return to the Gallery on 26 August to rehang the galleries.
The opening display will showcase the collection in new ways in a complete refresh of the permanent galleries. A highlight is The Look, a new exhibition from the Gallery’s collection featuring striking photographic portraits of contemporary figures.
The next major exhibition at the National Portrait is Women in Vogue: Celebrating 60 Years in Australia which opens to the public on Friday 11 October. Tickets are available online now.
