Sunshine greeted visitors on the opening weekend of Floriade, Australia’s biggest celebration of spring, in Commonwealth Park over the weekend.
This year’s theme, World in Bloom, will be showcased through designs across 21 flowerbeds and more than 189 portable raised flowerbeds positioned throughout the park, alongside a brimming program of live entertainment, food, drinks and market stalls.
Monday morning also saw a burst of spring greet commuters when a Floriade and NightFest wrapped light rail vehicle made its first trip down Northbourne Avenue.
NightFest will also return for four nights from 3-6 October from 6.30pm – 10.30pm. Floriade becomes an illuminated wonderland with nights of entertainment, food, and more. Secure your NightFest tickets here.
Floriade and NightFest collectable posters are once again available at the Canberra and Region Visitor’s Centre at Regatta Point and Floriade Information Marquee at Floriade. Please note, stocks are limited.
Floriade is open daily until 13 October from 9.30am-5.30pm. For more information visit: floriadeaustralia.com
