  • ICC Women’s T20 World Cup comes to Canberra
POSTED February 21, 2020
CATEGORIES Events,

Canberra is proudly hosting five matches of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup over three days from 26 to 28 February, in what will be a real festival of cricket.

Seven of the world’s best teams will converge on Manuka Oval, so don’t miss the chance to see the likes of Ellyse Perry, Alyssa Healy and Meg Lanning in action – along with a host of international stars from across the globe.

Canberra’s matches feature double-headers on Wednesday 26 February and Friday 28 February, while the Australian women’s cricket team (as defending T20 World Cup Champions) will be taking on Bangladesh in a night game on Thursday 27 February. Organisers are hoping this match will set an attendance record for a women’s sporting fixture in Canberra, so locals and visitors alike are urged to show their support.

This prestigious tournament helps wrap up a big summer of cricket for Canberra, where we have already seen Manuka Oval play host to the Prime Minister’s XI, women’s and men’s T20 International Series matches, along with women’s and men’s Big Bash League matches.

Tickets to Canberra’s matches at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup are great value at just $5 for children, and starting from just $20 for adults. For more information and to buy tickets, head to the T20 World Cup website.
