  • Cabbies’ Breakfast at the Canberra Airport
POSTED March 4, 2020
CATEGORIES Events,

Educating taxi drivers of what’s happening in their city and region was the aim of a Cabbies’ Breakfast held on Friday 28 February at the Canberra Airport.

The Canberra Region Visitors Centre (CRVC) joined with the Aerial Capital Group to host the event.

Staff from both organisations networked with local taxi drivers and distributed information packs highlighting some of the exciting industry happenings, both current and upcoming, occurring in Canberra including:

  • Enlighten Festival
  • Matisse & Picasso exhibition
  • 2019 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards
  • Canberra International Airport new retail offerings and
  • Mercure Canberra Belconnen.

Shotclock Espresso provided the drivers with coffee and a muffin.

These events are run twice yearly and aim to update the drivers’ knowledge on tourism activities occurring within Canberra and its region so they can then promote it to visitors.  If you would like to be part of the next breakfast please contact Robert Smethills, Assistant Manager, at the CRVC by email: Robert.smethills@act.gov.au
