In late October and early November, VisitCanberra along with a 6 operators recently attended Tourism Australia’s online trade events, Marketplace North America and Marketplace UK/Europe. These events are usually held as large face-to-face trade shows in the market, but this year were adapted to be run virtually. They provide an opportunity for representatives from the Australian tourism industry to establish and maintain business relationships with key qualified travel agencies and tour operators from the different markets. Appointments were also held with media across the two events.
