  • Support for businesses extended
POSTED February 7, 2022
CATEGORIES Industry, Support,
The ACT Government is extending a range of existing support measures to provide further targeted financial support for impacted local businesses. This includes extending the closing date of the Small Business Hardship Scheme to 28 February, to allow for businesses to claim for additional expenses paid in January and February 2022, up to $10,000.

Other measures include:
•    extending the food business registration fee waiver from 31 March to 30 June;
•    extending the annual licence fee waiver for liquor licences (effectively a 50% fee reduction) from 31 March to 30 June for nightclub, restaurant and café, bar, general, catering special and club liquor licences; and
•    committing $500,000 for a second round of Amp It Up! later in 2022.

Businesses that have already applied for the Small Business Hardship Scheme can reapply for additional expenses incurred, for total reimbursements of up to $10,000 per business over both applications. More information will be provided to existing applicants via email.

Read the updated Guidelines here.
