In the year ending September 2023, the ACT welcomed 5.68 million visitors, the fourth highest number of visitors in a twelve-month period.

During this period, visitor expenditure in Canberra was $3.66 billion, making this the highest ever visitor expenditure in a twelve-month period in the ACT over the past 25 years – surpassing the record high of the year ending June 2023 by $230 million.

Total visitor numbers have recovered to 93 percent of pre-COVID levels, while the number of international visitors is continuing to recover, now at 63 percent of pre-COVID levels.

Floriade was once again a major drawcard, this year attracting 433,271 attendees and generating $38 million in economic activity for the Territory.
