  • Promoting Canberra in India and Singapore
POSTED March 5, 2024
CATEGORIES Industry, International,

VisitCanberra recently joined the ACT Chief Minister’s trade mission to India and Singapore. Across a number of events and meetings, VisitCanberra used the opportunity to engage with numerous key distribution partners, Tourism Australia and travel agents to promote Canberra as an ideal destination for leisure travel and Business Events. We were joined by the Canberra Convention Bureau in India and Canberra Airport in Singapore. Events included a roundtable discussion in Mumbai, a reception in Delhi and an agent briefing in Singapore, as well as many partner meetings.

India is currently the ACT’s second largest inbound market and both India and Singapore are key markets identified in the ACT Government’s Tourism 2030 strategy. Under the strategy, expenditure from international markets has the potential to reach $1.4bn by 2030.
