VisitCanberra, along with eight tourism operators exhibited at Tourism Australia’s flagship event, the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) in May.

VisitCanberra and the eight tourism operators conducted more than 800 appointments with key international trade partners across the four-day program. Operators included:

  • Australian Parliament House
  • Canberra Guided Tours
  • Capital Hotel Group
  • GoBoat
  • National Arboretum Canberra
  • National Gallery of Australia
  • National Museum of Australia
  • National Zoo & Aquarium

Canberra Airport Group also attended the Aviation program, presenting an opportunity to meet with senior network planners and representatives from more than 30 airlines attending the event.

The Canberra café kept delegates caffeinated during the event, serving Canberra’s award-winning ONA Coffee with the team from The Cupping Room. During the events’ Happy Hour evening, a new collaboration was formed in the shape of Espresso Martini’s by ONA Coffee and Ambrosia. Local chocolatier, Murrumbateman Chocolate Co. created a paired chocolate truffle which was a crowd favourite.

In the days prior to the trade event kicking off, the VisitCanberra PR and Media team attended the ATE24 Media Program – which consisted of an STO Destination Showcase to over 80+ media and Tourism Australia’s global PR teams, and 21 one-on-one appointments with journalists from key international markets.

For more information on how you could be part of the ATE25 event, please email tourism.trade@act.gov.au.
