  • Choose Tourism Marketing Campaign
POSTED June 5, 2024
CATEGORIES Industry, Labour & skills, Workshops,

VisitCanberra, via Austrade’s Choose Tourism Program, are currently running a tourism workforce attraction marketing campaign aimed at the local 17- to 24-year-old demographic.

The goal of the campaign is to create awareness amongst young people of the need for, types of and availability of jobs in the local tourism industry, whilst focussing on the short and long-term benefits of working in tourism.

The mostly digital campaign began running in late May and will continue running through until the end of June 2024.

An industry workbook has also been developed to encourage and assist local businesses to leverage off the campaigns messaging and act as a thought guide when looking to attract and recruit young workers to their tourism business.

A copy of the workbook can be found here.

The workbook was developed by the Tourism Collective as a part of the Choose Tourism Workforce Attraction Workshops held earlier in the year.
