VisitCanberra recently attended the Australian Tourism Export Council’s (ATEC) Explore NSW & ACT event held in the Blue Mountains from 26 to 27 June 2024. The Explore event is a dedicated travel trade B2B for the region, connecting tourism products with ATEC’s qualified Inbound Tour Operators (ITOs).
As an active ATEC member, VisitCanberra showcased the capital’s tourism offering at the event, providing destination highlights and up-to-date information on trade-ready Canberra tourism businesses across more than 30 pre-scheduled appointments. The team were excited to hear a growing demand for Canberra tourism products from ITOs and enquiries on how to package and sell the destination.
ATEC is the peak industry association for the Australian inbound tourism industry sector, providing regular opportunities to connect members engaged in the international tourism industry with its buyer members.
