  • Encouraging Americans to experience Australia’s capital
POSTED December 11, 2024
CATEGORIES Industry, International,

In November, VisitCanberra joined Tourism Australia and all State and Territory tourism organisations, at the Signature Travel Network Conference event in the USA. Tourism Australia was a major sponsor of the event, showing 3,000 travel advisors and trade partners in attendance the incredible experiences awaiting them in Australia. The conference included a workshop program with B2B appointments, enabling VisitCanberra the opportunity to educate advisors on our tourism experiences and connectivity with Fiji Airways.

Whilst in the USA, VisitCanberra featured in a segment on the US lifestyle program Good Morning Texas as part of a wider Tourism Australia partnership to promote various destinations around the country. With a new Fiji Airways route launching in December linking Dallas and Canberra (via Nadi), this was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our beautiful city with more than 350,000 targeted impressions in the Greater Dallas Fort Worth area.

To leverage this activity, VisitCanberra has also launched a campaign with trade partner, About Australia, encouraging Americans to travel on Fiji Airways and start their vacation in Canberra.  The USA was the ACT’s second largest inbound market at year-ending June 2024, and is a key target market for VisitCanberra.
