Canberra is gearing up for one of its most iconic events – the National Multicultural Festival, returning from 6–8 February 2026 for its 28th edition. This vibrant three-day celebration will transform the city into a global stage, showcasing the richness of cultures from around the world.
The festival began in the 1980s as a community-led initiative and has grown into a world-class event, thanks to the passion of Canberra’s multicultural communities, dedicated volunteers, and the ACT Government. Guided by values of collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and respect, the festival offers a unique space for cultural exchange and connection.
