  • Indian Influencers Spotlight Canberra’s Vibrant Charm
POSTED November 24, 2025
CATEGORIES Industry, International, Social media,

VisitCanberra recently partnered with Tourism Australia to deliver a high impact social media moment for Indian consumers, putting both Australia and Canberra under the Instagram spotlight.

VisitCanberra had the opportunity to host three celebrity influencers – Shreya Dhanwanthary, Palak Tiwari and Ayush Mehar with a combined following of over 7 million. The participants were hosted on bespoke itineraries showcasing some of Canberra’s tourism highlights. Known for their influence in lifestyle and travel, they shared their experiences across social media channels, amplifying Canberra’s appeal to millions of potential visitors.

Some itinerary highlights included:
• Jamala Wildlife Lodge and National Zoo & Aquarium
• Canberra Glassworks and Questacon
• Love Boats and GoBoat Canberra
• Australian National Botanic Gardens and National Arboretum Canberra
• Murrumbateman Chocolate Co.
• Canberra’s vibrant dining scene: Carlotta, Beltana Farm, Such & Such Raku, Italian and Sons, Mu Omakase, Pialligo Bakesmith, Walter Café.

This earned media opportunity is part of VisitCanberra’s Visiting Journalist & Influencer Program (VJIP) — designed to give media, influencers, and content creators first hand experiences of Canberra and the region. By sharing authentic stories with their audiences, the program strengthens VisitCanberra’s marketing efforts and supports the goals outlined in the ACT Tourism Strategy 2023–2030.
