On 10 December 2025, the Chief Minister launched Phase 2 of the ACT Government’s T2030 ACT Tourism Strategy, with an ambition to grow the visitor economy by $1 billion over the next five years.
Initially launched in December 2022 as the roadmap for visitor economy growth, T2030 Phase 2 reinforces the priority areas of focus that will provide the greatest opportunity to achieve an additional $1 billion in tourism expenditure.
These include:
- Increasing domestic visitation and spend from priority target markets.
- Leveraging major events as visitation drivers.
- Making it easier and more affordable to visit Canberra.
- Realising Canberra’s potential in international markets.
Aligned effort and collaboration across government, tourism businesses and other visitor economy stakeholders will drive success of the strategy.
Please reach out to the team at VisitCanberra for more information about T2030 Phase 2 and to explore new opportunities to engage on strategic and marketing planning. We look forward to continuing our work with you on the shared journey towards 2030.
