The Canberra and Region Visitors Centre (CRVC) is dedicated to supporting tourism businesses both within Canberra and also our Gateway Regions. We work to increase our industry partners’ market reach and exposure and are committed to promoting Canberra and the Region as a must-visit destination to increase visitor numbers, length of stay and visitor spending in the area. The CRVC has been recognised for its excellence, winning Gold for Best Visitor Information Services at the 2024 Australian Tourism Awards and Bronze in the same category in 2025.
The CRVC is a fully accredited Visitor Centre which means we have achieved specific industry standards and are recognised as providing exceptional service and advice. Open seven days per week, the CRVC receives about 180,000 visitors annually and is co-located with the National Capital Exhibition, Marion Restaurant and Event Centre, and the Walter Café at Regatta Point, Parkes ACT.
The CRVC is proud to be an accessible facility welcoming all. A hearing loop, screen readers, and a sensory hour (9am - 10am daily) are provided. The centre is easily wheelchair accessible with nearby dedicated disabled parking. The team partners with the Sunflower Scheme and provides personalised service to visitors wearing the sunflower lanyards and wristbands. Staff members actively stay up to date with the latest offerings and are full of recommendations regarding Canberra’s popular accessible experiences – be sure to ask them the best spots to visit.
Our dedicated volunteers also play a crucial role in enhancing every visitor's experience by sharing their extensive knowledge and passion for the region. Their contributions are integral to the warm and welcoming atmosphere at the CRVC.
Partnering with the CRVC results in maximum exposure in a prominent location on Lake Burley Griffin. As a purpose-built visitor information centre, the CRVC provides content delivery for visitor information services three ways. These include face-to-face interaction with staff and volunteers, digital delivery through a range of platforms, and printed information brochures and maps for visitors to take away.
