The Canberra Racing Club has announced a partnership with the world’s most awarded airline, Singapore Airlines, as the naming rights sponsor of the Camarena Quality Handicap over 1000m for the next three years.
The Camarena Quality Handicap is held on Canberra’s biggest race day, the Mercedes-Benz Canberra Black Opal Stakes, on Sunday 5 March.
“We are very excited to have such a prestigious brand in our stable of sponsors at the Club, and with significant links to two major racing countries, we hope to grow visitation to the National Capital and the Black Opal Stakes day,” CEO of the Canberra Racing Club, Peter Stubbs said.
Singapore Airlines Manager ACT, Mr Tan ChinYu, welcomed the new three year partnership of the Camarena Open Quality Handicap.
“The Black Opal Stakes is one of the premier events on Canberra’s sporting and event calendar,” Mr Tan said.
“We are looking forward to working with the Canberra Racing Club to promote the Black Opal Stakes and to grow the number of international visitors who come to Canberra for the Black Opal Stakes.”
