  • VisitCanberra and TripAdvisor partnership – how to get involved
POSTED February 21, 2018
CATEGORIES Campaigns, Industry,

On 9 February 2018, VisitCanberra held an industry briefing session to announce a major partnership campaign with TripAdvisor. The industry session also included presentations from Tripadvisor and Viator.

The domestic marketing campaign aims to raise awareness of Canberra and its key experiences, and encourage visitation during the winter months.  It will run from March to June 2018 targeting Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and regional NSW.

The campaign will have a strong content focus and include a refresh to the Canberra Destination page, updated listings, galleries and article pages promoting One Good Thing After Another messaging, as well as digital banner advertising on TripAdvisor’s site.

There are three opportunities for industry to get involved in this activity:

  • Have a listing page on TripAdvisor or update your listings page (no cost)
  • Purchase a banner placement on the Canberra destination page for one month ($800-$1000)
  • Run your own marketing campaign with TripAdvisor, aligned to VisitCanberra and TripAdvisor’s activity (min spend $5000)

Further detail can be found in the Expression of Interest document. Expressions of interest for banner placements close today.

The presentations from the industry briefing are here, including VisitCanberra’s domestic marketing approach, and advice on how to effectively manage your TripAdvisor listing.
