  • Inbound Tour Operators from India experience Canberra
POSTED March 27, 2019
CATEGORIES International,

VisitCanberra has recently hosted a famil for a group of Inbound Tour Operators (ITOs) from India. ITOs are key partners in the promotion and distribution of tourism products and services to international wholesalers and agents.

The famil was an outcome of attending India Travel Mission in 2018 and connecting with key ITOs who influence the design of travel itineraries sold in India market. The famil itinerary was designed to showcase the range of internationally-ready product available in Canberra, and to educate the ITOs on creating itineraries for their clients.

Canberra continues to see substantial growth from India market and the education of trade partners remains a priority. The latest International Visitor Survey (year ending September 2018) showed arrivals from India grew by 55.3% on the previous year. A snapshot of the latest survey results can be found here.
