  • Canberra Travel Guides episode its highest rating one to date
POSTED April 11, 2019
CATEGORIES Media,

Last week’s episode of NINE’s hit reality show Travel Guides starring none other than Canberra was the highest rating episode of the series to date.

The episode rated number one in its timeslot, attracting a five-city metro audience of 870,000 people and total national audience of just under 1.2 million. It was second overall in all the key demographics, beating My Kitchen Rules and well ahead of ABC’s Federal Budget coverage.

At one point during the episode the traffic to Jamala Wildlife Lodge’s website and booking engine was too large that it crashed. Jamala reported an increase in bookings days after the show aired.

VisitCanberra would like to thank all of the tourism industry members involved in the show for supporting it during a busy Floriade period last September.
