Tourism Australia and VisitCanberra recently collaborated on a content partnership with Vogue India – a media outlet known for its superior destination content and its high affinity amongst the ‘High Value Traveller’ audience in India.

The project was a cover shoot for Vogue India’s March issue featuring top Bollywood actress, Ms Anushka Sharma. Ms Sharma has a very high profile in India and a significant social media following including: Instagram: 26 million, Twitter: 19 million, Facebook: almost 10 million. Ms Sharma is also married to Indian Cricket Captain, Virat Kohli.

In addition to the cover shoot, the partnership included print, digital and social coverage for Canberra across Vogue India and Tourism Australia’s channels. It also included the opportunity to be part of a long-term Australia content hub on the premium website of Vogue India.

The shoot earned significant coverage when Ms Sharma posted content to her own social channels, which was also picked up by the many news and entertainment outlets that follow her.
