On 25 March, the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Dan Tehan, launched THRIVE 2030, Australia’s new long-term national strategy to grow the visitor economy.
THRIVE 2030 sets an ambitious yet achievable target to regain pre-pandemic visitor expenditure of $166 billion by 2024, and to grow it to $230 billion by 2030. The Strategy presents a plan for governments and industry to work together to address the challenges created both by COVID-19 and pre-existing structural issues.
