In February, VisitCanberra joined forces with Tourism Northern Territory and the South Australian Tourism Commission to run an Australia Roadshow in India. It was a packed program including agent training events in Mumbai and Delhi which saw more than 220 agents attend, appointments with 20 inbound tour operators, meetings with key distribution partners and networking events. The roadshow aimed to educate travel trade on the vast experiences on offer in these States and Territories and how to combine all 3 on an itinerary for Australia. It was great to see many key distribution partners are already including Canberra in packages, with potential for more interested product to be included.
Following the roadshow, VisitCanberra travelled to Bengaluru to support the University of Canberra and Cricket ACT’s launch of the UC T-10 Cricket Challenge 2025. Whilst in Bengaluru, VisitCanberra ran an agent training event with a difference, which included a cricket clinic delivered by Cricket ACT.
Currently the fifth largest inbound market with strong growth potential, India is a key priority market for the ACT.
