TravMedia’s thirteenth annual International Media Marketplace (IMM) Australia 2025 took place in Sydney from 13-14 February. With more than 450 participants in attendance, the IMM event allows PRs and the travel and tourism industry to engage in one-on-one appointments, networking opportunities, and events to connect and build relationships with media from across Australia and New Zealand.

Two representatives from the VisitCanberra PR team attended the event and had 22 scheduled 15-minute appointments with editors, journalists, freelancers, broadcasters, and content creators. In these one-on-one appointments, VisitCanberra were able to share compelling story angles and news hooks from our region.

Next on the calendar is Tourism Australia’s annual Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) in April 2025. This event will see VisitCanberra PR representatives connecting with key international media outlets, freelancers and influencers on story ideas and new tourism offerings for Canberra in 2025 and beyond.
