  • Support for ACT Businesses Installing EV Chargers or Transitioning to Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV)
POSTED January 27, 2026
CATEGORIES Applications, General, Partnerships,

ACT businesses and community organisations of all sizes can now access free, independent guidance on transitioning their vehicles to zero emissions through the Sustainable Business Program. Any business with an ABN is eligible to receive advice, which can also cover energy, waste, and water improvements.

Eligible businesses can receive a rebate covering up to 50 percent of the cost of purchasing and installing EV charging infrastructure, capped at $3,000 excluding GST.

For ZEV advice, rebate and general enquiries, businesses can contact the Fleet Advisory team at ced.fleetadvisory@act.gov.au .

Hosting Public EV Chargers at Your Business

Businesses can also register their site to host public EV chargers operated by a charge point operator. By completing the Host Site Registration Form, businesses can be matched with operators seeking new locations.

Hosting a public charger can:

  • Attract new customers
    • Increase visitor dwell time
    • Build positive sentiment toward your business
    • Avoid upfront costs because installation and operation are managed by charge point operators
