VisitCanberra recently hosted two famil programs in collaboration with Tourism Australia and fellow state tourism partners, welcoming Aussie Specialist agents from key international markets.
In September, Aussie Specialist agents from India experienced a 3-night familiarisation in Canberra. The itinerary showcased the best of Canberra in spring, including trade-ready experiences tailored to the Indian market. Highlights included Love Boats on Lake Burley Griffin, a site inspection of Jamala Wildlife Lodge, the iconic Signature Tour at Australian Parliament House, and a visit to Cockington Green Gardens and the National Dinosaur Museum, among other highlights.
In October, VisitCanberra welcomed a second famil of Aussie Specialist agents from the USA, offering another action-packed program in partnership with Tourism Australia. This visit highlighted Canberra’s experiences that appeal to the USA, ranging from cultural landmarks to culinary delights. Agents created a glass souvenir at the Canberra Glassworks, participated in the Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial, discovered the Canberra Wine District with Van Du Vin and toured Floriade.
These famil programs are part of VisitCanberra’s ongoing efforts to build strong international trade relationships and showcase the city’s diverse offerings to global markets.
